Heritage President and CEO, Lisa Haglund, shared earlier this week that Ives Hill, a Heritage senior living community in Watertown, New York, has a staff member who tested positive for the COVID-19 virus in their senior living community. She stated that at this time, that staff member is still the only positive test for Ives Hill. In accordance with HIPAA requirements, no further details will be released.
Haglund stated, “The staff member who tested positive for COVID-19 has completed the state mandated 14-day quarantine day period and has returned to work. At Heritage, the health and safety of both our residents and staff is of the utmost importance, and we are taking action to reduce the risk of exposure for all. Out of an abundance of caution for both the safety and health of our residents and staff, we are extending our visitation suspension to include both The Lodge at Ives Hill and Ives Hill independent living congregate building for 28 days effective today, July 24, 2020.”
