Northern New York’s outdoor playground!

We are proud to call Watertown our home for many reasons. Bordered by majestic Lake Ontario, the mighty St. Lawrence River, and the pristine and lovely Adirondack Park, this region is a veritable playground for outdoor enthusiasts. Easy access to Interstate 81 for a quick drive to Canada to the north or Syracuse to the south. Our other outstanding feature is Fort Drum, the home of the 10th Mountain Division. Fort Drum brings a variety of economic benefits to our community, not to mention a wealth of excellent human diversity, education, skills, and insight.

Watertown is the major city of Jefferson County, offering a vast variety of dining and shopping. The city is also home to the Alex T. Duffy Fairgrounds adjacent to the Watertown YMCA and the Fairgrounds Ice Arena, all of which host grand activities for the whole community. Arsenal Street and Coffeen Street are always bustling with their popular store and restaurant attractions, including the Salmon Run Mall. The Public Square is where you can find historic downtown, more locally owned businesses, the Historic Society, the Flower Memorial Library and the Farmer’s Market.
